Extra fotos de sabado
(Extra photos from Saturday.) I forgot to add these photos. These murals on are the walls of a building in Rio Piedras.
The Heladería de Lares or Icecream Parlor in Lares, a town on the western side of the island, has the most interesting flavors (see post for Jan. 27.) The pictures below show a variety of those flavors. They are written in Spanish, but some of the flavors include rice and beans, sweet potato, carrot, garlic, and avacado!

How to read this blog and post comments
1. To read a full topic and the comments: Scroll down and read at your leisure. Or, you can click the title of the topic. For example, if you click the words of the title in the January 13th post El Tren, it will show up in pink when you put your mouse on it. Click it to read all of the comments for that particular post. This will take you to a page that looks like the full blog page, but it will only have the topic that you clicked plus the corresponding comments in the blue section. The text and pictures on the white background in the right column won't change.
To go BACK to the full BLOG page, click the "Días en Puerto Rico" title at the top of the page and it will take you back to the full blog with all of the postings for each day.
2. Writing a comment: Click the word comments that appears at the bottom of any topic. Type your comment in the box that appears.
3. Posting your comment (so that it appears on the blog): In the "Comment as:" -- click the "Name/URL" to type your name in the "Name" space (not the URL space.) If you don't want to leave your name, you can click the Anonymous button. Click "continue." You may be asked to verify a word ... type it into the space and follow the directions. Then click the button that says POST COMMENT. (Note that clicking "Preview" will not post your comment, you must click "POST COMMENT.")
